What is UK Foundation Pathway?
A Foundation Year is a one-year preparatory course designed to equip international students with the necessary academic skills and English language proficiency to progress to an undergraduate degree at a UK university.
Usually, each student will choose a particular degree which is in their mind. Then they will check the entry requirement of that Undergraduate degree. However, there are a number of students study from the different education systems and sometimes they would like to change the subjects of their A Level subjects.
Who Needs a Foundation Year?
Typically, students who would like to study Undergraudate degree in the UK and:
- Have completed less than 13 years of education.
- Don’t meet the direct entry requirements for their desired degree.
- Sometimes, students need to improve their English language skills.
- Prefer to familiarise themselves with the UK education system and culture.
- Improve the academic knowledge and skills.
- On occasion, students wish to modify their A-level course choices and study Foundation pathway for one year instead of their 2nd year of A-level course.
